Group Therapy Sessions

Welcome to all children - neurodivergent and neurotypical!

Our group programs provide an ideal setting for kids to practice and refine a wide range of skills. Through engaging activities and guided interactions, children will have the opportunity to engage in moments that enrich speech and language development, regulation, and more. Our experienced therapists design activities with your child’s interests in mind that target individual goals while fostering a sense of togetherness and belonging.

Tiny Talkers

3-5 years
Thursday 10 am
$140/session
The Tiny Talkers are a dynamic preschool language group designed to ignite curiosity and foster early language development. In this nurturing environment, children aged 3 to 5 years are encouraged to explore the magic of words through storytelling, interactive games, and fun activities that boost vocabulary and comprehension.

With an emphasis on building strong communication skills, each session integrates playful exercises that encourage listening, speaking, and social interaction.

The Tiny Talkers engage in imaginative play and simple group discussions, creating a supportive space for children to confidently express themselves.

Through songs, rhymes, and engaging stories, this group helps lay the foundation for a lifelong love of language and learning, setting the stage for early literacy and language skills that will benefit children well beyond preschool.

Pretend Play Explorers

4 - 5 years
Monday 12pm & Tuesday 2 pm
$140/session
This group will be diving into the world of pretend play, by bringing new and exciting themes each week. This might include transforming into astronauts flying to space, fire fighters saving the day, and pirates claiming back their treasure. This group is designed for preschool children aged 4-5 years, and will provide an opportunity for children to engage in collaborative play with peers, and develop their imagination within play!

Minecraft (x2 Groups)

5 - 8 years and 9 - 11 years
Wednesday 5 pm
$140/session
In the Minecraft group, participants work in pairs to interact and collaborate through meaningful Minecraft play.

Minecraft is a game where players place blocks, craft items, and can build a wide range of creative projects. In Minecraft group, we utilise play in Creative Mode only, as this allows participants to engage in the game without the risk of losing progress.

Participants work in pairs to build projects and collaborate together in their Minecraft world, exploring positive and cooperative play. Participants are supported to transition in and out of 5-minute turns, share ideas, help one another, and have fun forming new friendships.

The facilitators will also support participants to advocate for and explore regulation strategies. This group focuses on social skills, communication, regulation, and self-advocacy.

Join our Lego Therapy Group, designed to support neurodiverse children aged 5-8 in a fun, engaging, and therapeutic environment! This group offers a unique opportunity for children to develop essential social, communication, and teamwork skills through collaborative Lego building activities.

Led by experienced professionals, each session focuses on fostering positive interactions, problem-solving, and creativity, all while enhancing self-esteem and building lasting friendships.

Through play-based therapy, children will gain confidence in navigating social situations and working together toward common goals.

Table Top Games

8 - 11 years

Join us for a program designed to help young people build friendships and develop social skills through board and card games!

Each week, the games will change based on participants' preferences, skill levels, and engagement.

Our goal is to shift the emphasis from "winning" and "losing" to having fun and making friends.

Most importantly, this group provides a space where young people can feel safe and celebrate their individuality.

Getting Ready for High School

6 - 7 years

Getting Ready for High School group is a program that provides a space for girls to friendships, and practice their social skills as they prepare to transition to high school.

In Getting Ready for High School, we focus on developing confidence and resilience in social situations, developing independence in advocating for own sensory needs and preferences, and navigating some of the expectations with transitioning to high school.

The activities vary week to week, though will focus on making new friends, introducing oneself to new people, and preparing for the change from primary school to high school (including activities such as  seeking assistance, communication with peers and teachers and general organisation).

In Getting Ready for High School, there is a significant focus placed on creating an environment where the children are able to feel safe and supported by the clinicians as well as their peers.

Banter and Bond

12+ years
Wednesday 5 pm

Welcome to Banter & Bond, a weekly summer group designed to enhance your teen's social communication skills through dynamic and engaging activities!

Each week, we focus on building strong connections with fun team bonding games, stimulating research tasks, and adventurous scavenger hunts.

Our sessions also feature lively mini debates and thought-provoking “Would You Rather” quizzes to practice conversational skills in a relaxed setting. Camp Connect offers a supportive environment where teens can develop confidence and improve their social interactions while making new friends and deepening existing relationships. Join us for an exciting summer of growth, learning, and meaningful connections!

More Than Words

The More Than Words® workshop is a hands-on, family-centered program that helps parents bring out the best in their child’s communication skills through everyday moments. Tailored for autistic children or those needing social communication support, it turns regular routines into opportunities for connection, learning, and fun. The More Than Words program isa 12 week program that is delivered by a Hanen certified speech pathologist. This consists of 8 sessions (2.5 hours long) and 3 video feedback sessions (1 hour long). Delivered in a group format with other parents, or available one-to-one. 

With simple, proven strategies, parents gain the tools to support their child’s progress naturally. It’s a cost-effective and time-saving way to make speech therapy a part of your daily life while creating more enjoyable and meaningful interactions with your child, with the overall goal of empowering you, the parent, to be the agent of change for your child. 

It Takes Two to Talk

The It Takes Two to Talk® program helps parents of young children with language delays build their child’s communication skills through everyday activities like mealtime, playtime, and trips to the supermarket. This program teaches simple, proven strategies to make everyday interactions fun and effective for language learning. The It Take Two To Talk program is a 12 week program that is delivered by a Hanen certified speech pathologist. This consists of 8 sessions (2.5 hours long) and 3 video feedback sessions (1 hour long). Delivered in a group format with other parents, or available one-to-one.

This approach is cost-effective and time-efficient, empowering parents to integrate therapy into daily routines instead of relying solely on frequent clinic visits. By making “therapy” a natural part of your day, you can give your child consistent, meaningful support to help them reach their communication goal, with the overall goal of empowering you, the parent, to be the agent of change for your child.


*All groups are structured as 50 min direct service provision (face-to-face), 10 minutes indirect service

Your child will be supported to work with or alongside, share joy and play with other children, meet new peers, engage in a group plan, and have the opportunities for fun new experiences.

Each child will undergo a goal setting session with one of our therapists prior to starting the group. You will also receive weekly summaries and a report at the end of the group.

Our groups are inclusive, and children of all abilities are able to join. One-on-one Allied Health Assistant Support is available to help your child in accessing our groups at an additional cost.

Group screeners are required for all group members.

New group participant will require a 30 minute screener and an updated 5-10 minute screen will be undertaken for previous participants.

These screeners are billed at NDIS rate of $193.99 per hour and are additional to group cost OR completed within child’s speech/OT session.

How do Group sessions work?

We run a range of groups throughout terms and intensive programs during School Holidays. Groups are tailored according to the interests, skills and needs of the children in the group so content and activities are flexible to accommodate this.
